Subject: FYI: free Richard III (Shakespeare) at Smith Street Stage

Dear All!

FYI, theatre colleagues of mine at Smith Street Stage are presenting free performances of Shakespeare's "Richard III" in Carroll Park, Brooklyn, over the next several weeks (they opened last night, I believe). That's a far easier commute than it sounds like, btw.

For those not familiar with the play, RIII is probably Shakespeare's ultimate villain - a bad guy who thoroughly enjoys being a bad guy.

Performances are 7:30 in the evening, and they've got the play to under 3 hours (which is an accomplishment with RIII, believe me).

I'm going this Sunday, 6/11.
