Youtube is chewing on the file, but it looks like we’re going to miss the 4pm start by a few minutes.

It should become visible as soon as youtube finishes processing. Watching the slow progress meter is maddening.

I don’t think I have a way of letting folks who are tuned in to YT to hold on for a moment.

So, we’ve run into a snag with today's voice recital streaming. YouTube claims that we’re still not cleared to live stream to the DeBaun PAC youtube channel, and may have to wait another 24 hours to do so. It’s hard to determine exactly what is going on, since with all google platforms, there is no way to contact a human and discuss the issue.

I do have a proposed workaround, assuming the timing works alright for you Bethany. Since the current problem is only for streaming (I can upload videos to our channel just fine), we could run the event in streamyard in recording-only (not live) mode beginning around 2pm today, and once we’re finished, I can upload the recorded video (the students’ submissions interspersed with Bethany’s commentary) to our youtube channel for a 4pm premiere.

This would look just the way our original plan would have to the viewers on youtube, but it wouldn’t actually be streamed live.

While this is a bit frustrating, it achieves the same purpose and same look we are aiming for.

Bethany, are you available to gather online at 2pm, to start recording the recital shortly after?
