[Choir] Auditions for President's Ensemble - Fall 2022

The Office of University Events is holding auditions for the President's Ensemble, a select group of undergraduate singers who perform at special events, such as Board of Trustee dinners, Commencement, Convocation, and Admissions receptions. The full group is usually from 14-18 voices, even though we hardly ever perform with the full group. Students auditioning must be able to learn music easily (sight singing preferred but not mandatory) and blend well in a choral setting. Rehearsals are set with regards to the student's schedule, and all voice ranges are welcome to audition (please no seniors or graduate students.)
Auditionees are asked to bring in a song to sing (either acapella or bring sheet music for accompaniment - tracks and acapella are not preferred unless that's all you have) and then they will be asked to sight read a song or two from the Pres Ens repertoire.
Auditions will be held in the Music Room, 4th floor Howe Center. Available dates/times are:

  *   Thursday, October 13 from Noon-5pm
  *   Friday, October 14 from Noon-5pm
  *   Monday, October 17 from 12:30-6:30pm
  *   Wednesday, October 19 from 12:30-6:30pm
Times will be assigned in 30 minute slots, but you will most likely be done earlier than that.

Rehearsals will start immediately following auditions for the holiday season. The new members will not be expected to perform before Thanksgiving, giving time to learn the repertoire and be comfortable with the group.
