Hellooo everyone!

In case you missed our first GBM or just want a refresher on everything we went over, here’s a quick recap!

WHAT IS HFH?: Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that strives to create strong and stable communities by helping families build affordable housing!

DO I NEED CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE?: Not at all! Builds are supervised by professionals who are there to guide you. You’ll be fine even if you’ve never held a screwdriver in your life.

TRANSPORTATION?: Absolutely free! We pay to Uber everyone to the site; The only thing you might need some money for is food unless you pack your own lunch.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?: We have three builds scheduled for September 29th, October 13th, and November 3rd. I will be sending out sign-ups for each build the Monday of that week at 10:00 PM (i.e. September 29th’s build sign-ups will be out on the 24th). Spots are first come, first serve, and they go fast! So make sure to sign up right away if you’re interested!

WHAT IF I DON’T GET A SPOT?: No problem! HFH also does a lot of on-campus fundraisers, and we would greatly appreciate your help!

SPRING BREAK TRIP?: HFH also has a spring break trip where we get sent out of state for a week to work on one site! More details will come out later in the semester. (I had an absolute blast last spring fyi)

BELLA, WHAT’S IT LIKE BEING SUCH A COOL PERSON AND A FANTASTIC SECRETARY?: Omg stop you’re gonna make me blush

If you have any other questions, reach out to me and I’ll try to get back to you ASAP!

Seeya,
