Hello all,

As some of you may know, the committee formed to revisit our current 
election procedures met for discussion last night. After much 
consideration, we agreed upon a small change that we would like to 
"test" on this upcoming MAL election. So please note that at the start 
of the meeting on 3/4, we will take a vote on whether or not to do so. 
The changes are as follows:

-Each candidate will receive 5 minutes for a speech (no change)
-Each candidate will receive 7 minutes for a Q&A period (no change)
-There will then be 7 minutes for dicussion of the individual candidate 
(changed from 13 minutes)

The following will happen regardless of how the vote goes:

-There will be no "general discussion" about all of the candidates 
after every candidate has been presented (This was actually never in 
the bylaws - we just kind of ended up doing it. So this time we aim to 
follow election procedure as outlined.).

These will be presented again at the meeting, but we just wanted to 
make sure you had them in advance for consideration before we vote on 
whether or not to try them out.
