Hey Guys,

Michael Chladil, resident sound designer at DeBaun, and SDS alum from
2001 asked me to pass this on. It's a really interesting opportunity.
You should try to participate if you can.

-----------------------

Seeking actors, dancers, and technical crew for further digital
performance experiments. A couple of weeks ago, I spent an afternoon
experimenting with ways to combine typography, audio, and movement on
stage. Text and audio from "fight" scenes in Tom Stoppard's
_Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead_ and the film classic _Who's
Afraid of Virginia Woolf_ were performed using an instrument I created
for my Masters Thesis at NYU. A small group of us played with
different ways to layer these elements
<http://drop.io/r_and_p_deb_oct_2008> to understand how they can lead to
more engaging performances.

Next Wednesday, November 19, from 1-5pm in the DeBaun Auditorium, I'll
be following up on these experiments with my collaborator, and a
choreographer from Boston will direct movement on the stage.

There are some cool technical things I can share with you, but what can
be even more exciting is participating in the process of developing new
ideas with a group of creative people.

thanks,

Michael Chladil
