Everyone,

See below for a message from the president of The Gear and Triangle Society:

Students of Stevens Institute of Technology,

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to The Gear and
Triangle Society.  This Society is comprised of upperclassmen who have
dedicated their time and effort to the Stevens community through active
participation in campus events and student organizations. The principles of
the Society are Honor, Fellowship, and Spirit.

Students who have completed four academic semesters may apply for membership
into Gear and Triangle. In order to be eligible, students must not have been
convicted of an Honor System violation and must have a minimum 2.5 overall
GPA.  Any student who applies to The Gear & Triangle Society will be
automatically considered for, but not guaranteed, a position on the Dean's
Activities List.  Please be advised, the Society may extend invitations to
Gear & Triangle applicants to conduct a short interview in the weeks
following the application due date. Interview times and locations will be
arranged promptly at the availability of the applicant. 

To promote a similar participation in campus activities among younger
students, the Society has developed the Dean's Activities Honor List. The
Dean's Activities Honor List recognizes those individuals within the Stevens
undergraduate population who have devoted themselves to enhancing student
life on campus by committed involvement in extracurricular activities. All
Stevens undergraduates displaying significant campus involvement are
encouraged to apply for this honor. 

The applications for Gear and Triangle and the Dean's Activities List are
due by February 13, 2014.  If you would like to nominate a fellow student,
please notify the Gear and Triangle Executive Board by e-mail

) and the nominee will be contacted directly.

In addition to the application for Gear and Triangle, every applicant is
required to attend one of three info sessions that will take place:

Wednesday, February 5th at 1pm in the Calder Room, 3rd floor Howe
Wednesday, February 12th at 2pm in the Jacobus Large Conference Room
Wednesday, February 12th at 9pm in BC 203

If you cannot attend an info session, e-mail the Executive Board at

in order to make an arrangement to receive the information.
