[SDS] WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

Whether you’re back in classes or on co-op, congratulations you made it to
another semester and I hope this is the best yet!

To the new freshmen, welcome to Stevens and the Stevens Dramatic Society!



Most of you have received emails from me during the summer but for those
who did not/did not read them, here’s some information on what’s coming up
this semester.



1)    *General Body Meeting* *AND Meet & Greet *– We will be having our
first GBM of the semester next Wednesday, September 7th at 9PM in EAS222.
This is where we will officially kick off the new semester! Additionally,
we are putting on our second annual *MEET&GREET* on the same day, at 8PM in
EAS222. If you are able to come, please do!

The purpose of the Meet & Greet, for those who don't know is a way for the
Freshmen to learn a little more about SDS - what we do and who we are - and
to meet the members! *Freshmen - please come and invite all your friends!
All others - please come meet the freshmen and help answer any questions
they might have!*

2) *T**OO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND* – SDS is trying out an early
semester show for the first time and we’d love it if everyone could come
watch and give their support! TML is a 60 minute show made up of 30
different plays. The plays all vary in genre – comedy, drama, etc. The show
dates and location are *September 2nd and 3rd at 8PM in Bissenger Room (*4th
Floor of Howe)*.* It’s going to be a great time so definitely come and
bring your friends along!

3)      *RUMORS* – As you all know, SDS is putting on a production of
Rumors, a farcical play written by Neil Simon, for our Fall 2016 Show!

a.       *Auditions *will be *September 15th and 16th, 7-11PM *both days
with *callbacks* on *September 17th* *from 9AM – 12PM.* Thursday’s auditions
and Saturday’s callbacks will both take place in DeBaun auditorium
while Friday’s auditions will take place in EAS 229.

b.      Pro-Board applications are still open! This is your last chance to
sign up for production board for Rumors. We will be closing the forms by
next Wednesday, September 7th. If you have any interest in applying, please
do!
