Dear Carl,



We are a group of Hoboken artists with a passion for Halloween. We’re
putting together a Halloween haunted house event and are looking for actors
in the area. We’re working in partnership with the Pilsener Haus and
Biergarten, and they’ve given us their entire second floor to create what
will be a highly stylized and truly scary event.



This is our first year so budget is tight, but we can offer each
participating actor a $50 stipend along with some food and drink tokens.
This will be a good opportunity to add to their portfolio/reel, and of
course, they’re of central importance to our experience. We are looking to
fill the following roles:



- Basement Creeper/Burglar - Male, mid 30s
- Female Babysitter - Early to late 20s
- Male Child (pre-teen) - To be portrayed by an adult (male or female),
early 20s, who is small in stature
- Creature Prop - Male or female needed to operate a life-size creature
puppet/prop with movable head/mouth/legs
- Creepy Old Man - Male (30s to early 50s)


Our event will take place on Halloween night only, Tuesday, October 31, and
we’ll need actors on site from 3PM to 1AM. It’s a long day, but we’ll
include breaks, and it’s worth noting that we have a contract for a
five-day event next year, so there’s an opportunity for more work and an
ongoing relationship with us.



Can you please post this opportunity on any boards/online forums related to
your theater? It would also be great if you could post on your theater’s
social media channels. We’re happy to provide copy if needed. If you know
