[SWE] GBM Follow Up

Hi Everyone!

*SWE* updates that were covered in last night's GBM:

1) Our *new public relations* co-chairs are Mary Libera and Sydney Slavik!

2) *Nominations* for Eboard are now open until* March 3rd*. We will have
elections during the GBM on March 3rd. If you would like nominate someone
(including yourself), you can email either Aleks or myself (
apetelsk at stevens.edu or kaurand at stevens.edu).
*Note: only active members can vote.* I will be sending out a separate
email today to notify the active members. If you do not receive an email
and feel you should be considered an active member, please contact Aleks or
myself.

*E board positions include*:

   - President
   - Vice-President
   - Secretary
   - Treasurer
   - Professional Development (typically a co-chair)
   - Social Committee (typically a co-chair)
   - K-12 Outreach
   - Fundraising Chair

If you any questions about the positions, once again please contact Aleks
or myself.

3) *Hardwired NYC* is this coming Tuesday the 24th at 5:45 pm located at
WeWork Soho West. Hardwired is a community that explores the internet of
things, 3D printing, hardware, start-ups and more! Plus, it’s
sponsoring a *Free
Tech/Start-up Event for Students!*

4) *NJIT SWEet Summit* is March 28th from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm in Newark. If
you are interested in attending let Aleks know by this Friday.

NJIT SWEet Summit: ​

"We want to give you the best experience at our first ever SWEet
Summit on *Saturday,
March 28 *from *10-4:30pm*.  It will be a day of *collaboration, teamwork,
and building leaders *that we can't find at the regional conference.
Lunch and snacks will be provided as well as an optional pay-for-yourself
dinner at a nearby Newark restaurant, 27 Mix, for us to relax after a long
day of collaboration and sharing of ideas."
