For the past two months, I have been working on a research-based survey that aims to highlight which campus resources are the most advantageous to all students. Studies suggest that a student’s feeling of belonging to their school’s environment is imperative to their degree completion. In an effort to retain and attract a diverse student body, our school has made tremendous strides by supporting services, workshops, and other resources for women of color. As such, I hope that you can pass along the survey, whether via newsletter or an email, so that we can continue to support women of color in STEM and other male-dominated fields.

As research suggests, a student is more likely to excel and complete their degree if they feel a sense of belonging to their school’s community.
