Hello SWE members,

We hope the new semester is off to a great start so far! We will continue to forward opportunities that are shared with us to our members!

Nomura has an Early Insights program for Freshman & Sophomores to broaden their exposure to careers. The below information details Nomura’s upcoming early insights diversity program. The programming for this series is going to be extremely valuable and the students that are selected with get a great experience out of it. This is also posted on Handshake.
The program is open to all groups – Finance, Information Technology, Operations, Internal Audit, Risk Management, along with Global Markets and Investment Banking. I wanted to make sure the younger members of SWE are aware of this and hopefully I see a lot of applications from them for our IT opportunity!

Explore Nomura Freshman & Sophomore Diversity Program

Build your network and advance your career with Nomura
Explore Nomura is an Early Insights program designed to provide diverse Freshman & Sophomores with broad exposure to careers in Investment Banking, Global Markets and Corporate Infrastructure.

About the program
Explore Nomura is a two-week virtual series, in which selected students will opt-in to sessions of their respective interests and division.
Over the course of the program students will be able to:

  *   Participate in immersive training sessions including a fundamental overview of financial markets, real-life trading and technology simulations, personal branding and soft skills workshops, and more!
  *   Meet and network with experienced professionals to learn more about personal career journeys and gain deeper insight into different functions at Nomura
  *   Cultivate valuable skills with an opportunity to interview for our 2022 summer internship programs

Who should apply
Undergraduate freshman and sophomores who also identify as members of the following communities are encouraged to apply: Women, Black, Latinx, Native American, LGBTQ+, Veterans, and Students with Disabilities.

Applications are open through our recruiting website. In order to be considered for the program, please submit the latest copy of your resume and respond thoughtfully to both of our application prompts. Please note, a limited number of students will be selected per program. Each candidate is eligible to apply for one Explore Program.
