I do want to make a point of not getting too swayed by the Robot itself. </div><div><br></div><div>To me, this is less about robots and more about a need for <u>longitudinal surveys</u> of physical infrastructure SO THAT we can prioritize and organize preventative maintenance actions!</div><div><br></div><div>As I interrogate the credo of maintenance, I am always surprised at how little mention there is on surveying. To survey is a very intentional and deliberate act of "looking for anomalies or defects". It lies at the core of maintenance!</div><div><br></div><div>Not to be facetious but there should be an active civilian army of surveyors who survey everything every quarter.</div><div>Survey Roads, Bridges, Dams, Poles, Pipes, Buildings!
