Our annual awards dinner for AIChE is tomorrow, 2/21 at 6:30 PM in Babbio
Atrium. There will be free dinner and a presentation on "Effective
Interviewing 101". This is a great opportunity for underclassmen to hear
from and network with members of the NNJ AIChE section. We look forward to
seeing you there.

A critical part of the process of acquiring a job is the interview. There
are several goals of an interview, including: to see if you are right for
the position, to see if the position is right for you, and to personally
articulate and illustrate the skills you’ve listed on your resume. Are you
properly prepared for your interview?



Please join us for a presentation on techniques you can utilize to improve
your chances of having a successful interview. Attendees will be acquainted
with the four basic types of interview techniques that are utilized by
employers, so that surprises will be minimal. Basic preparation tips will
be provided, and interview “bloopers” will be identified to enhance your
chances of successfully interviewing for the job of your dreams. A brief
Q&A with hiring managers will follow, so your specific questions and
concerns can be addressed.

*POSITION AVAILABLE – PLANT MANAGER*

I'm working with another recruiter and he has a client in Long Island, NY
that's looking for a Plant Manager - chemicals (details below). If you're
interested, email a resume along with your salary range and motivation for

the name of the company and all the details.  Salary is around $110K

*Responsibilities:*

·         Ensuring employee safety and driver safety compliance with all
federal, state, local and company regulations and policies;

·         Scheduling and estimating worker-hour requirements to meet
production schedules;

·         Designing and implementing plant changes;

·         Supervising and coordinating the processes personnel;

·         Leading and developing subordinate supervisors to provide plant
leadership;

·         Training new personnel and cross-training current associates;

·         This position reports to the Regional Operations Manager.

*Education:   *4-year degree required.
 *Required Skills:*

·         5+ years of manufacturing, production operations, and/or
distribution experience;

·         Direct experience overseeing Distribution and Manufacturing
areas;

·         Direct experience in safety and compliance;

·         Union experience, union avoidance experience is a plus;

·         Affirmative employee engagement and leadership including
excellent interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills;

·         Manufacturing processes and chemical processing experience
preferred;

·         Change management experience is a plus;

·         Works well in a high urgency, high growth plant environment;

·         SAP experience preferred, MS Office applications including Word,
Excel, and Outlook.
