[AnimeClub] The Seven Samurai

Hi everyone,

 

                The fully restored uncut original Japanese version of The
Seven Samurai will be shown at the Landmark Loew's Jersey Theater &
Performing Arts Center on Saturday May 12th at 2PM. The doors open 1 hr
before it starts and they will have demonstrations of laido (a Japanese
sword technique), Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) and a performance of
Shakuhachi (Japanese Flute). After the film will be a Q&A session with the
author of "Kurosawa: Film Studies & Japanese Cinema," Professor Mitsuhiro
Yoshimoto from NYU's school of East Asian Studies. Admission is $6. To get
there take a path train to Journal Square, the theater is across the street.
