The UBS Atrium Series is presented by the Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts
Center, Inc., a New Jersey nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding the
arts in North Jersey and to building a regional performing arts center on
the Weehawken waterfront. 

These monthly lunchtime concerts are free of charge and open to the general
public; free two hour parking is available adjacent to the building.

THE ATRIUM is located at 1000 Harbor Boulevard, a large blue office building
in Lincoln Harbor, Weehawken. The Atrium is the lobby of the building
(adjacent to Houlihan's Restaurant) and is easily accessible to patrons with
disabilities.

MAYA is a unique musical collaboration between percussionist John Hadfield,
harpist Bridget Kibbey, and  

flutist Sato Moughalian. These gifted musicians, all soloists in their own
right, perform both new and traditional music with an emphasis on sounds
from different world cultures. Often incorporating improvisation into their
performances, the group takes the listener on a fantastic and, at times,
unexpected journey. MAYA commissions works from a broad variety of composers
with a special focus toward building relationships with emerging composers.

For this Atrium concert, MAYA will be joined by Galician bagpiper and Grammy
Award winner, Cristina Pato, in a program highlighting music of Spain and
Galicia. Ms. Pato is internationally acclaimed for her mastery of the gaita
(Spanish bagpipe) and for bringing the traditional music of Galicia all over
the world through her passionate and virtuosic playing. She is well known as
a member of the Silk Road Ensemble, headed by superstar cellist, Yo-Yo Ma.
