The Office of University Events is holding auditions for the President's Ensemble, a select group of undergraduate singers who perform at special events, such as Board of Trustee dinners, Commencement, Convocation, and Admissions receptions. The full group is usually from 14-18 voices, even though we hardly ever perform with the full group. Students auditioning must be able to learn music easily (sight singing preferred but not mandatory) and blend well in a choral setting. Rehearsals are set with regards to the student’s schedule, and all voice ranges are welcome to audition. Please, seniors should not audition unless they expect to be at Stevens for graduate school.
Auditionees are asked to bring in a song to sing (either acapella, or bring sheet music for accompaniment – tracks and acapella are not preferred, unless that’s all you have) and then they will be asked to sight read a song or two from the Pres Ens repertoire.
Auditions will be held in either the North Building, 3rd floor Conference Room or the Music Room, 4th floor Howe Center. Available dates/times are:

  *   Tuesday, March 29 from 1:30pm-8pm
  *   Wednesday, March 30 from 3-6pm
  *   Thursday, March 31 from 2-8pm
  *   Friday, April 1 from 3-6pm
  *   Saturday, April 2 from 10am-Noon
  *   Sunday, April 3 from 3-5:30pm
Times will be assigned in 30 minute slots, but you will most likely be done earlier than that.

Auditions are first come/first served. Once date/time is confirmed, University Events will confirm location.
Rehearsals will start next week to prepare for April 9, 10, May 14, 25, 26 performances.
