[cs615asa] how to know server's public IP

[xxu15 at stevens.edu]

from the server side, 
eth0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST>  mtu 1500
        inet 172.31.27.122  netmask 255.255.240.0

from the client side, I cannot ping successfully to the server's IP 72.31.27.122

how to know the server's public IP  (in order to set it to the resolv file of the client)
