All,

I've updated the homework assignment to not require access to
linux-lab.cs.stevens.edu. You have the following options:

- use linux-lab.cs.stevens.edu; if you have an account, then this is by
far the easiest approach to take

- if you have no account on linux-lab.cs.stevens.edu, and you use macOS
or OS X, then you can install the AWS command-line tools and do your
homework on your laptop/desktop; note that you must do all work in the
  terminal on that system

- if you have no account on linux-lab.cs.stevens.edu, and you use a Unix
version (e.g. some Linux flavor), then you can install the AWS
command-line tools and do your homework on your laptop/desktop; note
that you must do all work in the terminal on that system

- if you have no account on linux-lab.cs.stevens.edu, and you use a
Microsoft Windows, then you can install the AWS Tools for Microsoft
PowerShell and use those; alternatively, you can use a VM to install a
Unix version of your choosing, then install the AWS command-line tools
in that VM and use that for all assignments in this class

Either option is acceptable. But please do note that the aim is to use
the command-line interface for all your AWS work. You should not use
the browser interface to e.g. create, start, shut down EC2 instances for
these assignments.
