Per the assignment write-up:

ec2-backup assumes that the user has set up their environment for general
> use with the EC2 tools.  That is, it will not set or modify the variables
> AWS_CONFIG_FILE, EC2_CERT, EC2_HOME or EC2_PRIVATE_KEY

> It is ambiguous as to whether or not the four environment variables
outlined in the second sentence must be supported by `ec2-backup`. In lieu
of the existence of both `EC2_BACKUP_FLAGS_AWS` and `EC2_BACKUP_FLAGS_SSH`,
I would assume that these four environment variables are supplemental and
may be used to modify the run-time of `ec2-backup`.

Is this presumption accurate, or shall these environment variables be
ignored?
