Dear Professor Schaumann,

I’m planning to attend the event: Rancher's K3s & Knative & Gitlab (https://www.meetup.com/Kubernetes-Cloud-Native-New-York/events/260174042/), Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

The problem is I think it looks like the same event as the Gregory have attended and he already has given a very good summary. My opinion is there is already have many jobs relative to k8s when I hunting jobs. And this event is the introduction level. It’s good to learn something from this event. So I like to attend too.

The introduction from the event webpage:

Starting from scratch, let's provision a Gitlab cluster, install Knative, and build a serverless CI/CD function to deliver software. We'll explore how to create a platform for developers and enable folks to get off the ground with serverless functionality.

And I have another alternative event:

Startup 101 Sessions: Painless and Efficient Ways To Do Usability Testing (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/startup-101-sessions-painless-and-efficient-ways-to-do-usability-testing-tickets-59358003386?aff=DONYCMEETUP) Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

For this event, it holds by DigitalOcean. I have using DigitalOcean VPS from its start. It’s interesting to me just visit it's headquartered in New York. And the topic is not just relative to the course topic and even relative to one of my team mission: Have good user interfaces.

Maybe I consider attending both of the events.

And if the professor confirm the event match the course requirement. I more than welcome everyone event not in this course to join with me to the event.

Best Regards,

Chengzhi Yang
