Of course.  The linux-lab systems are shared systems,
so anybody else with an account will have access.

This is exactly what we wanted to demonstrate in the
last class.

You can tell who the owner of the file is; contact
them and ask them to delete it.  Make sure to specify
the hostname (linux-lab is load-balanced across
several systems).
