The issue was the inclusion of a temporary backup file
made by the editor vim(1) in the archive.  That file
uses a binary format that apparently was erroneously
interpreted as a possibly malicious executable by
Google's malware analyzer.

To avoid this issue, always make sure that the archive
you create only includes exactly the files that you
need to submit.
