IGSA Holi show - Important! Please READ CAREFULLY!!!

Hello Desis!

This is an important email about the Holi show coming up on March 27th. I
have put the details in a point format so that you don’t get bored of
reading a huge story. BUT IT IS IMPORTANT !!!

Okay !! Here’s the deal !

1.      1.  Stevens has a strong policy on safety and security of our
students and hence any event that happens on campus has a few guidelines
that come attached with it. I HOPE EVERYONE UNDERTANDS THAT WE NEED TO HELP
STEVENS MAKE SURE WE ARE SAFE and have a pleasurable event. To that end, we,
students of IGSA, have a moral responsibility that we have to abide by.


2.       2. IGSA being the largest regional community on campus, like back
home, population is our biggest problem. The hall allotted to us for our
event can hold only a certain number of people. So we are restricting the
HOli show crowd to 300 ONLY.  (Imagine 500 people running like maniacs and
creating a chaos in case of an unexpected emergency. We definitely don’t
want to see that happening …ever.)


3.       3. Starting today, the INDIAN community on campus have exactly
15days, till 15th of March(the end of spring break) to register with IGSA.
All you have to do is, click on the link,

And USE YOUR STEVENS EMAIL ID to register. ENTRY INTO THE HOLI SHOW IS ONLY
BASED ON YOUR REGISTRATION.

So if you want your friends to come with you to the holi show, then forward
to them, this email and ask them to register ASAP.



4.      4. Now here is the tricky part. If you are wondering why you have to
register with IGSA for attending the Holi show, then the deal is,

EVERYONE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ENTRY INTO THE HALL. The charges are as below.



If you have a Stevens ID - $3 (including Stevens Alumni)

If you do not have a Stevens ID (Outsiders, guests, any non-stevens student)
- $5



5.       5. THERE WILL BE NO TICKET SALE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT !!!

We will setup multiple point of sales on campus and we will have a list of
all the students registered to the IGSA mailing list. The details of these
points of sales will be emailed shortly. So you go to the point and get your
name crossed from the list and pay the charge. YOU WILL NEED YOUR STEVENS ID
IF YOU DON’T WANT TO PAY MORE THAN $3. If your name is not on the list, then
you have not registered. On the day of the event, we will have the same
list, so we know who has paid and who has not.


6. If you do not register and do not buy the ticket in advance and want to
attend the holi show, then YOU WILL BE CHARGED $7 ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW. So
you decide how much you want to pay   :)


6.       7. The registration window is open from right now till the 15th of
March. The tickets go on sale starting from 16th of March till the 25th of
March. That gives us 10 ample days of time to buy. SO THIS IS ON A FIRST
COME FIRST SERVE DEAL. The first 300 people to register and buy the ticket
will get to enjoy amazing new performances, great food and lively music to
dance for.



I hope everyone understands that it is important for us to follow the
Stevens guidelines and this is our step towards containing the huge Indian
crowd and ensure a smooth flow of our event.



So start forwarding this email to your friends who have not registered with
IGSA and get them to do it immediately.  Our ORKUT community also is active,
