Hello one and all,

A big warm welcome to all the new students joining us this semester. Glad to
have you guys on board. And let us not forget all those returning to school
after the long summer holidays. It's good to have you back with us people.

So all you new guys must have heard (or will hear thanks to this mail) of
the Indian Graduate Students Association or more simply put the IGSA. And
the obvious question is, what is the IGSA all about? Well simply put the
IGSA is about two things i.e. keeping alive the spirit of India within us as
well as building camaraderie between all your fellow countrymen who will be
studying with you in Stevens Tech.

So how do we go about doing these things? Well it all starts of with the
Fresher's Day. Fresher's Day is a time for you guys to meet and socialize
with all your seniors in an informal atmosphere. Scheduled to happen on *17th
of September,Thursday *strap on your dancing shoes and come only if you
intend to have fun. We don't want any sad faces on that day.*
*But we look to you to make this event a success. And by this we do not mean
just attending Fresher's Day. The IGSA asks you to come forward and
volunteer your services in whatever capacity. Already many of you guys have
shown an interest but as the saying goes-"the more the merrier". Those of
you who believe in what we are trying to achieve and want to get involved,
we look forward to having you join us on the *11th of
Spetember,Friday* at *Babbio
Centre 104 *for the General Body* *meeting. It is your involvement that
drives us and motivates us. And your efforts will not be in vain. Those of
you who are regular for the next three meetings and are committed to their
involvement with the IGSA can hope to see yourselves being a part of the
IGSA E-board in the ensuing semesters.
