Hi all- I am looking for an intern to assist me with my business, LMB
Designs, which creates knitwear and knitting patterns for people and pets (
www.lmbdesigns.com). I recently launched my collection of handmade dog
sweaters, Turtlebacks, which are handmade in Peru and sold in pet stores
around the world. Responsibilities will include: research fair trade
manufacturing partners worldwide; research shipping and customs
requirements; track inventory; wash and block items; update listings
on Etsyand Ravelry; manage communications on social media sites;
assist with
preparation for tradeshows; and test-knitting patterns and swatches.
Approximately 5-10 hours per week, must be able to meet once a week in
Hoboken on a weeknight or weekend. Ideal intern will be bilingual in English
and Spanish, must be able to work independently, be detail-oriented, and
have some basic knitting skills. Interns will be exposed to all aspects of
running a small business and gain experience as desired in designing
knitwear and pet apparel. Small weekly stipend. Position available
