Hello all,

As you may recall, RedShift recently submitted a new constitution to
the SGA. The SGA has since passed the constitution and the
organization will now be operated under its provisions.

One such provision calls for the election of a new position on the
executive board: Managing Editor.

The Managing Editor will be recognized at the level of Vice President,
and have the following responsibilities:

1.Chair all meetings of Red Shift general body.
2.In the case that the EIC is incapacitated, the powers of the EIC are
transferred to the Managing Editor.
3.Handle day-to-day operations of Red Shift.
4.Carry out any duties specified elsewhere in the constitution or in
the bylaws of Red Shift.
5.Maintain communication between the executive board and contributors
on matters relating to the administration of Red Shift.

As per SGA regulations, nominations will remain open for 7 days,
including today. Nominations will then be sent for approval by all
appropriate parties, upon the completion of which elections will be
held.

Only voting members as described by the new constitution will be
eligible to vote. Anyone, however, can nominate or be nominated
provided they meet all criteria specified by the Office of Student Life.

If you would like to nominate either yourself or another student,
please contact redshift at stevens.edu . All nominees will be given the
opportunity to either accept or decline a nomination coming from a
third party.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best Regards,
J. Kyle Yandell
Editor In Chief
