Hello SGDC!

As many of us know, 99% of good video games need good enemies to challenge the player at every turn. From the biggest and baddest final bosses to the most basic of minions, all enemies rely on AI get to things done. No, not that AI, though I would be impressed if I saw a Goomba use ChatGPT. We're talking about Artificial Intelligence algorithms, the code that goes behind every enemy's unique behavior and logic. We'll be holding a presentation and going over the history of AI in video games, how they're coded, and tips on how you can make a good AI of your own. Speaking of making AI, there will also be a Godot tutorial on top-down pathfinding after the presentation to help you in your development endeavors. So, if that sounds fun to you, come down to Gateway South 216 tomorrow night (9/23) at 9:15 pm. We hope to see you there!
