[SHPC] Summer Research Opportunity at RPI: Deadline March 8!

Biotechnology/Biomedicine.*


*This is a great opportunity for biomedical engineers, bioengineers, or
chemical engineers to gain research experience.*


Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is providing a research experience for
undergraduates sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Students from
other universities have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research
with faculty members during a 10 week summer period.


Each participant receives a stipend of $5,000 for participation in the
program. Other benefits include on-campus housing (provided by the REU),
meal and travel allowances; participation in campus-wide REU activities;
and full access to university recreational facilities. The total
compensation packages provided to the students can vary from year to year,
but was $6,200 (plus free housing) for summer 2012 participants.
