Give Kids A Smile NJ is recruiting Pre-Health Student Volunteers for Give
Kids A Smile Day in 2020. Give Kids A Smile Day is a national program
supported by the American Dental Association Foundation and locally by the
New Jersey Dental Association. On Give Kids A Smile Day participating
dental practices throughout the state open their doors to offer FREE dental
care for children 12 and under. Last year dentists treated nearly 3,000
children in NJ alone! As a Pre-Health Student Volunteer, you would: - Get
an introduction to organized dentistry - Have the opportunity to "shadow"
participating dentists and network - Be responsible for the record keeping
and submission of records at your designated location. Join NJDA's
informational Give Kids A Smile Workshop to learn more about the Give Kids
A Smile program and volunteer opportunities.

Important Dates and Reminders:


   1. *January 10: Registration closes. Must register to participate
   2. *January 16: Mandatory Orientation at Colgate-Palmolive, Piscataway,
   NJ from 12:00 - 3:30PM (Includes lunch and a tour of Colgate's Research
   Center)
   3. *January 24: Deadline for volunteers to contact their assigned
   location.
   4. February 7: Give Kids A Smile Day, volunteer hours vary based on
   location schedule
   5. February 26: Pre-Health Volunteer Appreciation Event at Rutgers
   School of Dental Medicine, Newark, NJ, from 2:30pm – 4:00pm (Includes
   refreshments, awards, and a tour of the dental school)
