As part of the Disrupting Disruptions: Feminist and Accessible Publishing,
Communications, and Technologies Speaker and Workshop Series, I have been
doing a land acknowledgement that speaks to the impact of the virtual world
on the physical lands-- so the servers, the materials that have been mined
to create our computers, and so forth. You can hear it in the Rose Eveleth
video on
https://www.feministandaccessiblepublishingandtechnology.com/p/videos.html.
It isn't in every video, but definitely in the Rose Eveleth one beginning
around the 90 second mark: https://youtu.be/NPSPlGvFplg?t=85
