Dear Maintainers Listserv,

We hope this message finds you well!

We are deeply grateful for the support and encouragement we’ve received
since releasing Chapter 1 of our Narrative of Change. In that chapter, we
shared our journey from an academic conference to a thriving virtual
network, highlighting our programs and initiatives dedicated to celebrating
maintenance, repair, and care.

Today, we are excited to announce the release of Chapter 2, which details
our fundraising strategy and outlines our plans for sustaining the work of
The Maintainers. This chapter includes an approach to securing the
resources necessary to continue offering our valuable programs.
Additionally, it addresses the contingency plan to manage a deliberate
sunsetting of community activities in the event that funding is not secured.
