[Themaintainers] Blog post on the Tool Library at Greenpoint Public Library

Hello listserv,

I’m excited to share a recent Maintainers blog post I published on the
Greenpoint
Public Library's Tool Library in Brooklyn, New York.
<https://themaintainers.org/toolib>This piece begins with a visit to the
tool library and includes excerpts from an interview with Acacia Thompson,
who leads this initiative as part of their environmental education
programming. I also feature insights from other tool library leaders and
friends from the Maintainers network, as well as provide a brief overview
of the larger repair advocacy movement in the United States.

The article is designed as an educational tool for those involved in
sustainability work but who may be new to the concept of repair economies.
It serves as an introduction, aiming to engage audiences, provide
guidelines on how to plug into communities of practice, and inspire those
interested in supporting or launching object-lending programs. I am
considering translating it into Spanish at some point!
