[Choir] Singing/Choral Topics last week; this coming week

Dear Singers!

Three things:

  *   No Topics in Choral Music this week (the Stevens schedule change is an issue there)
  *   Thursday 10/15's Topics in Singing will be on "The Rise of the Virtuoso" in the Baroque era. We'll look at some major repertoire and the techniques required to sing it.
  *   Last Monday 10/5's Topics in Choral Music was "Moving into Splendour: The Early Baroque" - lots on Monteverdi and others.
  *   Last Thursday 10/8's Topics in Singing was "Le Nuove Musiche and the Birth of Opera" - more Monteverdi, Orfeo, and - of course!  - Hadestown
