[SDS] Minor Board Information

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of summer!

As promised during elections, the executive board is exploring the idea of
creating a minor board to work in conjunction with the SDS executive board.
This will provide an excellent opportunity for members of the general body
to step up, get some leadership experience, and help the executive board
out with our duties a little bit.

We will be running a trial run this semester, just to see if it works.
If/when the minor board is successful, we will propose changes to the
constitution and bylaws to reflect the new positions. Below is a list of
positions and descriptions for your perusal. Please shoot us an email if a
particular position jumps out at you, or if you want to nominate someone.
We hope to vote on these positions at our first general body meeting on
September 3rd. If you have any suggestions for additional positions, please
send those our way as well!

*Historian:*
*Duties:* act as photographer at SDS sponsored (non-production) events,
assist the publicity manager with compiling these photos into albums for
social media, also will be in control of maintaining newly made history
file in SDS office, may make a scrapbook if desired
*Expectations:* be present at all events or have someone to cover them,
enthusiastic, having own camera not completely necessary, but preferred
(Eboard found one in the office during our cleanup!)

*Webmaster:*
*Duties:* Maintain SDS's webpage, working directly with publicity manager
*Expectations:* Knowledge of HTML & CSS

*Assistant Event Coordinator:*
*Duties:* Work closely with VP and BM to plan and budget events, aid VP
with communication with appropriate offices for room bookings, etc.
*Expectations:* Attendance/assistance at all non-production events

*Cast Representative: *
*Duties:* act as a link between cast and Executive Board, listening to cast
issues and reporting to the Producer and the rest of the Executive Board as
needed
*Expectations:* Approachable, eager to make the production process
enjoyable for all

Please note that this position's responsibilities typically falls under
those of the MALs. This position will only become effective neither MAL is
cast in the production. Elections for this position will occur at the first
rehearsal/read through and will be voted on by the cast.

*Production Budget Associate:*
*Duties:*  Help to review designer’s budgets, distribute Pcard to
designers, collect receipts from designers and return receipts to Robert,
complete online purchasing and submit purchasing requests, help to maintain
records of purchasing
*Expectations:* Good MS Excel skills

*TL;DR:* We're going to have a minor board now. Elections at the GBM on
9/3. Email us nominations/if you are interested in one of the above
positions.
