[SWE] Alumni Office is loooking for Volunteers

Hi everyone!!

As of now we have 6 volunteers for the CIESE event on September 29th.  The
person running it asked for at least 15 members so if anyone  else could
volunteer that would be great.

Second, Alumni weekend is coming up again this summer and I was forwarded
the following e-mail and want to invite all members to volunteer if they
would like.  This is a great networking opportunity to meet successful
graduates. 

Also, Thank you to all those who volunteered for the CIESE event already!

Job Descriptions

Student Volunteer Staff

Volunteer Staff responsibilities during Alumni Weekend 2012 break down into
the following categories:

.         Registration

o   Supports registration in the Central Registration area and satellite
registration areas

o   May include packet assembly; checking nametag and schedule; on-site and
walk-in registration; time and location questions

.         Event Point Person

o   Must arrive at event location no later than 30 minutes prior to the
start of the event

o   Check on-site logistics, such as table and chair setup, signage
arrangement, food and beverage setup

o   Communicate to central registration or the emergency hotline if changes
must be made

o   Handle on-site issues proactively without intervention if possible

.         General Logistical Support, including:

o   May drive golf cart and support special transportation requests

o   Respond to registration and emergency switchboard requests

o   Direct alumni for parking and registration during peak arrival times
