[SWE] Max Tech and Beyond AY14-15 Competition

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's (LBNL's) Energy Efficiency
Standards Group, with support from the U.S. Department of Energy, is
pleased to announce that The Max Tech and Beyond Design Competition will
begin accepting proposals for this upcoming academic year (2014-2015)
starting March 31st, 2014.

If you have not heard of The Max Tech and Beyond Design Competition, it
funds student design teams (e.x. senior design projects, capstone
projects, clubs) at universities across the nation to create
ultra-efficient appliances and equipment. At the end of the competition,
opportunities are presented that can help bring the prototype to market.

Attached is an official announcement page detailing what we are looking
for in the project proposals. In the announcement there are also links to
our website to give you all the information you need about the competition
and past competitors.

The flyer that is attached is for you to put in you office, hallways,
libraries, classrooms, etc. to help get the word out to students. We would
really like to drive that as long as students have a faculty member to
advise them, then they are free to create their own team and proposal.
They can even do this for their thesis project if they have not started
yet.
