*Today* is the preferred deadline to indicate your interest in volunteering
as a host or guide for Diversity Hosting Weekend on October 21-22. We are
especially in need of overnight on-campus hosts to ensure a great program
for our prospective students.



If you are interested, complete the volunteer form

Dear Student Ambassadors and Student Organization Presidents,



The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is currently accepting applications
for the third *Diversity Hosting Weekend* at Stevens on *October 21-22,
2016*. This is an overnight event for current high school seniors who are
interested in diversity and show promise of being members of the next
undergraduate class. Visiting students will be able to, among other things,
attend a class, eat in the dining hall, and explore Hoboken with a current
Stevens student.



The event has particular focus on first generation college students and
students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the areas of
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (i.e.
African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American/American Indian,
Native Hawaiian, Native Pacific Islander, and Native Alaskan).



We are once again looking for volunteers to serve as *guides* (an all-day
commitment for a visiting student to shadow you during the day) or as
*hosts* (a visiting student is an overnight guest in your dorm). If you are
interested in participating in either capacity, please complete the volunteer
form
