[cs631apue] What are these files for? print.c print.h

Hey professor,
I have a doubt regarding the midterm. In the homework I can see the whole
structure and the way we have to implement it. I have this doubt though
about the files cmp.c, print.c specifically.
Did you mention these files for some particular reason? and if yes then
what would that be? For example: I mean do we need to write the displaying
output related task in print.c
Please let me know
