Bernard Stiegler, founding director of the Institut de Recherche et
d'Innovation at the Pompidou Center in Paris, founding member of the
collective Ars Industrialis: An International Association for an Industrial
Politics of Technologies of the Spirit, and one of the world's leading
philosophers of technology and culture will visit Rutgers for two days.
Author of more than 20 books, including the series Technics and Time
1,2,3, and Disbelief and Discredit 1,2,3, as well as Acting Out, Taking
Care of Youth and the Generations, and Towards a New Critique of Political
Economy, Stiegler's thinking reflects on how the technological
entanglements of human existence form an irreducible aspect of our
lives--past, present, and future--and helps us consider (as yet unrealized)
possibilities for improving our technological coexistence. Please join us.
