Hello All-
I want to thank those of you that attended the meeting on Wednesday. Our
next meeting will be on November 8 at 9 PM in Hayden Lounge.
Things that were discussed at the meeting:
1. Deposits are due by 12/1 to secure your spot on the Spring Break trip.
Deposit is $50. You can pay by check, cash or with your student account.
Drop payment off to Jacinda Felix in the Office of Student Life. Spots will
be filled on a first come, first serve basis. There are only 23 spots left,
so reserve yours ASAP.
2. Destination for Spring Break will be determined on October 23rd, so watch
your email for a message that day saying where we are going.
3. We need fundraising ideas quick. We would like to fundraise during
Techfest, but don't have any good ideas. Please let us know ASAP if you
have any ideas.
4. An end of the semester trip was discussed. Current problems with this
trip are: what week to go on the trip, finding people to lead the trip.
Weeks considered: May 14 - May 20 (covers part of finals)
May 21 - May 27 (covers graduation)
May 28 - June 3
Also, there is a possibility of going from May 17 - May 24 (in
between finals and graduation), but this would need to be worked out with
Habitat due to it not being a standard work week. We need a minimum of 12
people that are interested in going on this trip to make it worth while, so
please spread the word.
