Hello SGDC,
I am very excited to be reminding you all that our first Game Jam of the
semester is this weekend. Starting Friday at 8 pm in Lieb 318, we will host
an opening ceremony explaining the rules and MO of the competition (and
eating pizza). At the end we will announce the secret theme for the jam and
then competitors (may work in teams or individually, although teamwork is
encouraged) can set off to develop their games! Submissions will be due by
Sunday at 6 pm where we will reconvene in Lieb 318 for a playtesting/voting
session which will end at 8 pm. You are not required to work in Lieb if you
do not wish to but it is recommended so that you can have experienced
designers nearby to offer advice if you get stuck. See you there!

Sidenote: Your awesome secretary (Jason Gardella) has uploaded our revised
constitution (from the end of last semester) to DuckSync. Feel free to
check it out if you're curious or if you need to know something.

Sidenote 2.0: Graduate Frank DiCola forwarded an email from our Faculty
Adviser, Jeff Thompson, to the Art Techs. The meeting is open to those
interested as well so if you have an interest in the Visual Arts and
Technology major or minor go to this and check it out. Here's the email:

"Hello all VA&T students, welcome back! I hope you are having a fantastic
and productive semester.

We will be holding an all-VA&T meeting *next Wednesday at 4:30pm in the
Visual Arts Studio*. This is required for all majors and minors, but is
open to anyone who is interested in the program, so please invite your
friends!

We’ll have some short announcements, followed by pizza.

Please let me know if you can’t attend, otherwise I will see you next week!

Best,
Jeff

To clarify, the Wednesday he is referring to is October 1, 2014 and the
Visual Arts Studio is M203.

That's all folks! See you at tomorrow's Game Jam!
