Hello,
My name is Elizabeth Bottoni and I'm a 2/5 Biomedical Engineering student
and New Jersey EMT working on first aid solutions with the Castle Point
Anime Convention (CPAC). We're looking for volunteers with experience in
Emergency Medicine, in particular anyone with a first aid/CPR certification
or higher (EMT's would be greatly appreciated). We're aiming to have a
small team of volunteers available in the case of a medical event or
emergency who would be able to coordinate scene safety, recognize a
potentially life threatening event, and respond accordingly either by
calling emergency services or utilizing a small stock of very basic first
aid supplies provided to resolve the issue.
CPAC this year is on April 27th and 28th at the Meadowlands
Convention Center. Transportation, lunch, and a free tee shirt will be
provided. Time spent volunteering at CPAC will count as service hours for
APO and other Greek organizations on campus. Most volunteers must attend or
otherwise watch a safety presentation, although I will be personally
working with this team and will have additional instructions for them
before the convention (it won't be a significant time commitment, most
likely just an email or something similar).
Working at CPAC is always a great experience, and I believe anyone who
wants to come help out will find it to be a great time.
Please let your club members know about this opportunity, and thank you so
much for your time.
Elizabeth Bottoni, 2/5 Biomedical Engineering
