Subject: [Themaintainers] You're Invited: Maintainers Happy Hour, 5:30 pm, Saturday, October 28th

Hi Maintainers,

The Society for the History of Technology is meeting in Philadelphia this week. If you are attending SHOT or are anywhere in the Philly area, we would like to invite you to the Maintainers happy hour in Old City Philadelphia on Saturday, October 28th at 5:30 pm. The happy hour will be held at National Mechanics<http://www.nationalmechanics.com/> at 22 South 3rd Street<https://maps.google.com/?q=22+South+3rd+Street&entry=gmail&source=g> and is open to all.

Two rounds of thanks are in order: First, Linda Hall Library, a science and engineering-centered research library in Kansas City, MO (which has many collections and sources on maintenance/repair), has generously agreed to sponsor the event. So the first drinks will be on Linda Hall. Many thanks to Linda Hall for the support! (And to LHL staff member Benjamin Gross for thinking of this.)

Second, the happy hour was organized by Nicole Welk-Joerger, who also co-organized two panels on "maintaining natures" at SHOT. Many, many thanks to Nicole for her efforts and for picking a great location.

It would really help Nicole and National Mechanics to have a head count. So if you plan to attend, please let me or her know.

Please come!

All the best,

Lee
