Dear Maintainers,

The History of Anthropology Review (HAR) seeks applications for Associate Editors to join its editorial team. Formerly the History of Anthropology Newsletter, HAR has been a venue for publication and conversation on the many histories of the discipline of anthropology since 1973. We became an open access web publication in 2016, and regularly publish essays, reviews, bibliographies, news, and other content related to the histories of the field.

The Editors are currently accepting applications from prospective candidates interested in working with our News, Reviews, Clio’s Fancy, and Tech departments. Applicants should submit a 1-page CV and a short paragraph of no more than 400 words explaining their interest in the position and, if applicable, identifying any relevant background or experience. For the Tech department, experience with WordPress administration (such as installing plugins, customizing themes, and adjusting user permissions) would be valuable, and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP would be ideal; for all the positions, good writing and editing skills, ability to work both independently and in a team, as well as (of course) an intellectual interest in and enthusiasm for the history of anthropology are required.

Please send materials via email to editors at histanthro.org<mailto:editors at histanthro.org> with the subject heading “Associate Editor.”

The deadline for applications is January 15, 2020.
