[Themaintainers] Thanks and McKinsey Maintenance Report

Hi, everybody.

Two quick things:

1. First, I just want to thank everyone who has been participating in
discussions here on the email list (and folks who don't like to write the
whole list but drop Andy, Jess, me, and post authors nice personal notes).
To give one example, I have gained a lot from the conversation about the
Massachusetts data/right-to-repair law. As always, I'm very grateful to be
a part of and benefit from this community.

2. Andy brought my attention to this recent report on maintenance from
McKinsey. I think Andy's take was the report was "on point but a bit
boring." LOL. True maybe, but I thought it might be helpful for any of you
who are interested in recent trends in maintenance in industry, especially
in heavy industry.
