[Themaintainers] Requesting Feedback on the Maintenance Community Framework

Dear Friends,

We hope everyone is healthy, in good spirits, and maintaining themselves as
best they can!


We are reaching out today to invite you, as part of the broader Maintainers
network, to provide us feedback on the Maintenance Community Framework (MCF).
The MCF is a document that lays out, defines, and describes how to form
“maintenance communities,” groups focused on improving maintenance and the
lives of Maintainers in a self-chosen problem area.

In the coming months, we intend to substantially increase engagement by
forming an advisory committee, presenting new research opportunities, and
launching other participatory projects to further expand the maintenance
movement. Guaranteeing inclusivity, transparency, and accountability is an
important piece of The Maintainers mission, and in order to do this, we
rely on our community’s feedback and guidance.

We would enormously appreciate it if you can please take some time to
review the attached 16-page summary of the MCF and respond to a survey of
13 questions. You can find the survey link here,

it also includes the link to the MCF although you can also find it attached
to this email. We will close the survey by February 16th, and follow up
with a report back of your feedback later this Spring.

growth. We look forward to community reactions and suggestions for ways
that the Maintainers network can best support you and advance our shared
goals.
