[Wcpr-members] This week: Battle of the Bands, and LSD approaches!

Hey everyone, sorry for the day-of email, but our *normal weekly meeting is
tonight at 9:30pm in the station.* Just a reminder as we get deeper into
the semester that if you get a new ID card, you'll need to be programmed
into our doors again.

We've got some events this week!
-*Thursday (February 21)* we're doing sound for the *Connect the Chorus* game
show in Jacobus. Pretty easy setup, but we could use a hand. Be at the
station around *8pm *if you want to help out with that.
-*Saturday is our annual Battle of the Bands with Theta Phi Alpha! *We're
doing full band sound and lights for this, so we need as many hands as
possible. It will be a great chance to learn live sound and mixing as well,
for those interested. *Setup is at 4pm in the station*, but *come any time
you can* to help out. If you can't make it for setup, at least come out for
the event!

*LSD is a week from Friday!* Please continue telling friends about it and
spreading the news anywhere you can.... if you haven't already, check
"attending" on Facebook and DuckSync, and invite some more people! If you
already did, go back and invite more people! It's gonna be awesome.

Also, the *Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Conference is March 1-3*! If
you're interested in learning more about the workings of college radio,
careers in the industry, or chatting with DJs from your favorite pro radio
stations, you're welcome to attend the IBS conference. Panels will be held
from Friday through Sunday, and most of the board will be going at some
point. It's all at the Hotel Pennsylvania which is right around the corner
from the 33rd St PATH Station, so it's not hard to get to. We'll have more
info at the meeting tonight too.
