Dear Singers!

It was wonderful hearing some of you at the Open Mic last Friday. I'll hope for more of that!

Tonight's Topics in Choral Music will center on the sheer splendor of the High Baroque, with a focus on the (non-MESSIAH) works of Handel. We'll also look at some precursors, including a piece whose dissonant tone clusters rival that of any contemporary choral composers.

Subject: Reminder - Topics in Singing tonight, 7-8:30

Dear Singers!

Tonight's Topics in Singing will be on "The Rise of the Virtuoso" in the Baroque era. We'll look at how and why what we think of as "opera singing" evolved, some major repertoire, and get a coaching on one of the techniques required to sing it!

Hope to see you there.

Cheers,
BR
