Hey all,

AUDITIONS for Stevens One Act Festival 2014

DeBaun Performing Arts Center is holding auditions to cast actors for three
one acts that are being produced in this years’ Stevens One Act Festival:

“Playwriting 101: The Rooftop Lesson”
Written by Rich Orloff and directed by Devon Kelly
An instructor lectures on the craft of playwriting, using two live
examples: a would-be jumper on the edge of a ledge, and a would-be Good
Samaritan trying to save him.

“Bad Auditions by Bad Actors”
Written by Ian McWethy and directed by Chris Diggins
A casting director has one day to find the leads for a community theater
production of Romeo and Juliet. But what seems like a simple task proves
impossible when the pool of actors includes extreme method actors,
performers who just don't know what to do with their hands, and one
particular woman who may or may not think she's a cat

“Oh My God, It’s Another Play”
Written by Rich Orloff and directed by Trevor Batchelder
A ridiculous behind-the-scenes look at what really happens at rehearsal, as
an utterly pretentious director, a thoroughly disgruntled stage manager,
and romantically entangled actors all prepare for a nonsensically generic
play.

AUDITIONS:
Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 7-10pm
DeBaun Auditorium
No appointment necessary – first come, first serve
Please prepare a short comedic monologue, and/or be prepared to read from
sides

REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will be set by the director with respect to the actors’
conflicts. Tech and Dress Rehearsals are September 10 and 11 in the evening.

PERFORMANCES:
September 12 and 13 at 8pm
